Netscan Limited is committed to complying with the specific requirements of the Cloud Industry Forum’s Code of Practice for the period of Certification, for the scope defined below. Netscan Limited has completed the Self-Certification against the “Code of Practice for Cloud Service Providers” (“the Code”) of the Cloud Industry Forum (“CIF”, at www.cloudindustryforum.org), which the Self-Certification mark demonstrates.

Netscan Limited is committed to the Code. One of the main objectives of the Code is to help ensure disclosure of essential information so that consumers of Cloud Services can make better business decisions based on this information. The information on this page addresses the public disclosure requirements of the Code.

Full Scope of Operations

Netscan has designed and built its own cloud infrastructure which is located in UK datacentres that are chosen for high reliability, efficiency and low latency. The infrastructure replaces racked servers located in the UK that have hitherto provided clients with dedicated servers and shared hosting platforms. Our infrastructure is either used to provide private virtual cloud servers or can be replicated to provide a virtual provide data centre in our or the clients own chosen data centre

Netscan’s cloud architecture is managed, monitored and maintained using Netscan’s own product called Instinct that ensures security, and reliability is maintained 365 days a year, 24 hours a day to provide 100% uptime.

Third Party coverage

The company accepts responsibility for any supplier failure and undertakes to move to alternative suppliers in the fastest possible time in the event of a total catastrophic supplier failure.

For critical suppliers (eg Software and data centres)  Netscan uses only large reputable and well funded public companies where the risk of failure is considered negligible. Netscan monitors the published results of its suppliers on a regular basis.

Netscan undertakes to continue to support infrastructure in the event of a customer failure affecting their customers. In the event of resellers or other third parties who cease  trading, Netscan invites their customers to work directly on similar or better terms within a reasonable time frame (30-45 days). There is no break in service while these services are renegotiated

Security Transparency

Netscan  Ltd. has completed the Consensus Assessments Initiative Questionnaire (CAIQ V3.0.1(from the Cloud Security Alliance) during the course of the application for certification under the Cloud Industry Forum.

Other Commitments

All requirements are outlined directly within this Code of Practice, we do not commit to any additional requirements outside of the requirements supplied by the Cloud Industry Forum. However, weekly management meetings include a detailed review as to whether there are any new needs that should be covered.

Furthermore the Cloud Industry Forum code of practice forms part of our ISO27001 procedures for Information Security and is reviewed and audited, both internally and externally regularly as part of this process.

We do not have any technological commitments under the Netscan brand, that includes specific technologies, standards or inter-operabilities, as our cloud platform is not dependant on any single technology or supplier
